Abstract
The article describes the Bulgarian silver coin of the late XIII century depicting three flying birds. Using the accumulated material, the author identifies two options for the location of the movement-clockwise and counter clockwise. According to metrological data of 23 copies, a histogram was built, from which it follows that the fashion falls on a weight value of 1.37 g, and the average weight is 1.31 g. Comparing this indicator with the maximum of the dirhams of Bulgar and Bilyar, issued in 692/1292-1293, the author concludes that the type studied with birds could be minted in the first half of the 1290s on the territory of the Bulgar vilayat. The article is accompanied by a table with stamp variants of this type of coin.
